Pour un Printemps québécois!
Neuf ans, jour pour jour, après l’élection du gouvernement libéral, alors que des dizaines de milliers d’étudiants et d’étudiantes sont en grève depuis près de deux mois contre une augmentation massive des frais de scolarité universitaires, le mouvement étudiant lance un appel à la mobilisation citoyenne contre les gouvernements de Québec et d’Ottawa.
Depuis trop longtemps, libéraux et conservateurs font la loi. Coupures dans les programmes sociaux, baisses d’impôts aux entreprises, dépenses militaires records, recul des droits des femmes, mises à pieds massives, inaction devant les fermetures d’usines, hausse du seuil de la retraite à 67 ans, hausse des frais de scolarité, imposition de la taxe-santé, augmentation des tarifs d’Hydro-Québec... La liste des injustices libérales et conservatrices est longue!
Pendant que les cadeaux aux banques et aux grandes corporations se multiplient, on demande toujours aux mêmes de payer: les plus démuni-e-s et la classe moyenne se voient refiler la facture d’une crise dont les responsables se sont lavés les mains.

Public Demonstration - April 14th:
For a Quebecois spring!
Nine years, to the day, after the election of of the liberal government, while tens of thousands of students remain on strike for over 8 weeks against the announced massive increase in university tuition fees, the student movement is calling for a popular, citizens' mobilization against the governments in place in Quebec City and Ottawa.
For too long, Liberals and Conservatives have done as they please. Cuts in social programs, taxcuts for corporations, record-shattering military expenditures, rollbacks on women's rights, mass-firings, inaction in the face of factory closings, increasing the retirement age to 67, increases in tuition fees, the imposition of the "health tax", increase in Hydro Quebec rates... The list of injustices is long!
While the gifts to the banks and the giant corporations multiply, the poorest members of society and the middle class are given the bill for an economic crisis for which the responsible parties are given a free pass.
April 14, 2012:

2 weeks after the release of the Harper budget.
Quebec moves its faith to the streets!
Towards the Quebec spring!
If the strike is students, the struggle must be popular!
